Ben Mahan, M. D. 

  

Dr. Mahan was the 53nd president of the Tennessee Academy of Ophthalmology from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2013. He remains on the Board as the Immediate Past President and the AAO Councilor, representing the TNAO.

Dr. Mahan earned his medical degree from University the of Oklahoma Medical Center and served his ophthalmology residency at the Wilford Hall Medical Center at the United States Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.  He completed a glaucoma fellowship at Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, Boston Massachusetts under Dr. Richard Simmons, Preceptor. Dr. Mahan is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.  He is the second ophthalmologist to graduate from the Tennessee Medical Association Leadership Program.  Dr. Mahan practices ophthalmology in Tullahoma, TN, and can be reached at his office: 931-393-6004 or [email protected]
